Morristown Besties Holiday Sip & Shop

Morristown Besties Holiday Sip & Shop
Over 70 new Besties attended the Sip & Shop event at En Masse Coworking in Morristown on Thursday, December 5th. The newly opened phase II co-working space, provided a warm, spacious venue to host female-owned vendors, guests, and lots of food and drinks. The night included a festive selfie-station, stocked bar, locally crafted gift items, and beautiful cookies and treats.
Self-proclaimed “Business Besties” Ms. Morristown and Addy & Bloom have been hosting Besties events each month since May 2019. For December, they wanted to host an event that incorporated holiday shopping while giving back to the community. Together, they came up with the idea for Sip & Shop. A festive girls night out shopping trip that would include drinks, food, and fun all while supporting women. Throughout the evening, guests, AKA Besties, supported local, women-owned businesses and also gave donations to the Jersey Battered Women’s Services. Before the event, a donation bin was set up at Green Point Juicery and guests were invited to bring items on a list of necessities for the shelter. During the event, raffle tickets could also be purchased to help raise funds for JBWS. Raffle prizes ranged from juice cleanses to blowouts, headshots to fitness classes. Special thanks to ALL of the businesses who dated to help raise money for JBWS:
  • Addy & Bloom
  • AKT Morristown
  • BC Salon
  • Green Point Juicery
  • JM Photography and Design
  • Ride+Reflect
  • Stirling Tavern
The whole event captured the spirit of support and giving to women, along with a friendly attitude that sparked new relationships and new “Besties.” Fun Fact: En Masse Coworking, is a woman-owned business! The space is impeccably designed, gorgeous yet functional, and can be used for coworking on a monthly or daily basis, and can also be rented out for meetings and events.
The shopping portion of Sip & Shop took place in one of En Masse Coworking’s training rooms and consisted of 12 women-owned businesses and creators. The space allowed them to showcase and showoff their diverse talents. Vendors included:
  • Delicious olive oils, vinegars and bread set up by Seasons Olive Oil in Morristown. You could taste test almost everything!
  • Peel and Heal Studio, run by Haley Del Plato sold planner stickers to help track self care habits and mental health status, plus stickers with positive messages on them. I left with a holiday themed mood tracker for December and journal prompt stickers. It was such a great way to get wellness into my day in a colorful way!
  • Meghan C. Design made beautiful, custom print scarves and decorative items that would make for the perfect present whether it was for the holidays or even an anniversary or bridesmaid gift! We’ve never seen anything quite like what she creates!
  • Warwick Sunday sold beautiful calendars, notebooks, and other keepsakes that would make great gifts for anyone on your list.
  • Jill Maribel showcased her beautiful hand-made ornaments made from cut-up paper curated from Paper Source in Summit. My favorite? The cute cat themed one hiding in the corner.
  • Vanessa Knits offered hand-knit scarves, headbands, hair ties, ponchos and more. Vanessa’s accompanying mom added that she is “going to get carpal tunnel” from all of the knitting she does!
  • Rocky’s Pets provided adorable treats and toys for our furry friends, who deserve holiday gifts as much as our human friends.
  • The GemCo Shop sold adorable and trendy earrings, bracelets, monogrammed necklaces and more. You couldn’t help but buy something for someone on your list AND yourself!
  • Burning Love Organics provided a set up of handmade candles and essential oils to help calm you down this holiday season and throughout the year.
  • Casey O’Brien known for her local illustrated maps and murals, displayed her art in the forms of prints, magnets stickers and more! She also sold super witty stickers that we couldn’t help but buy!
Holiday cheer was overflowing at Sip & Shop and so were the bubbles! There was prosecco, wine, beer, and White Claws available at the bar provided by Horseshoe Tavern. Cookies baked up by The Sugary brought a lot of holiday cheer—snowflakes and gingerbread men were abundant. Charcuterie designed by local Fairchilds Fromage provided delectable beauty and delicious conversation starters.
Overall, the night brought fun, positivity, and a new awareness about what women in the Morristown area can accomplish. Besties events continue to bring women together to have fun and give back. It’s so inspiring to see what women create, give back, and celebrate the holiday season with new friends!
Special thanks to StrixMedia for capturing the night and JM Photography & Design for the Selfie Station! Also, a HUGE thank you to Event Sponsor Sullivan & Graber!
