Sona Thirteen: Thanks for the memories...even the ones I can't remember...

Sona Thirteen is closed. Insert screaming/crying face emoji. This is truly the end of an era and a staple in the Morristown bar scene.

The announcement was made on their IG two days ago and since then I've been reminiscing of all the awesome times I've had behind those red doors. Sona was one of the first bars I went to when I moved to Morristown almost 10 years ago. Since then, Sona has given me countless good times with great drinks and great people. Here's a few of my favorite memories:

  • St. Patrick's Day Parades. This was a MUST on your parade route if not the first and last stop you made.

  • Sunday Football

  • Happy Hour

  • Friday nights

  • Ritz cracker chicken fingers! These were just sooo good!

  • Playing drunken darts

  • My best friend met her now husband there!

  • All the great times I just can't remember...

According to their post, this isn't goodbye...they will be reopening in March 2018 (hopefully just in time for Morristown's St. Patrick's Day Parade!) Not sure what the new vibe will be...but I'm excited to find out. In the meantime I'll be trying to bring all those repressed, but amazing Sona memories to the surface!
