Looking to escape the mundane? Well, have you ever done an escape room? Better yet, have you ever done an escape room with an open bar and gourmet food?
Probably not.
But that experience now exists at The Raven Guild at Horseshoe Tavern.
What is The Raven Guild? It is a secret, sorcery society of the nation‘s elite, located in the upstairs of Horseshoe Tavern AKA The Raven Room. The room has been transformed into an escape room experience by Trap Door Escape Room in Morristown.
In their take on immersive theater, Trap Door felt inspired by the existing Edgar Allen Poe undertones of the space and designed this event exclusively for The Raven Room. Participants, or guild members, are tasked to resurrect Lucretia St. John, leader of The Raven Guild, through a series of cryptic puzzles.
The setting is a masquerade ball. Upon entering the guild you must wear the mask provided.
You are then handed a note and a signature cocktail, Black Death.
What happens next? You’ll have to sign up to find out! I will say this, solving puzzles with an open bar (one of the package options) makes things interesting. But taking a time out to enjoy the gourmet food (bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp cocktail, caprese salad and more) is highly encouraged. What are all the options? Click here for the full menu.
