We all know the toll 2020 has taken, on well, everything. And small business has been no exception to its wrath. Despite the fact that we are in a new year, businesses continue to struggle. It was devastating to see some of my favorite local places in town close because of COVID. Nearly a year later and businesses, especially restaurants, are struggling just to hang on. So what can we do to help?
Enter: Adopt A Business Morristown. Adopt a Business Morristown is a grass roots initiative to help Morristown’s small businesses stay alive this winter. The goal? To help local businesses raise rent dollars to cover the next 5 months. The winter months are tough in general, let alone during a pandemic. It’s cold, it gets dark earlier, and people are still hesitant to be out. Add that to restaurants still only being able to operate at a 25% indoor capacity and many businesses owners just can’t make ends meet.
